Sapience Agribusiness Consultants launched Xcelsio–a natural feed additive.

Sapience AC, in collaboration with CTC Global of South Korea, launched Xcelsio in Jind, Haryana, on the 14th of July 2022 and followed it with another event in Panchkula, Haryana, on the 15th of July 2022.

Xcelsio, a product of cutting-edge Research and Development in Korea, is a bacteriophage technology specifically designed to work in Indian conditions. Bacteriophages are naturally occurring viruses that have evolved to target and eliminate only a specific strain of bacteria, leaving other beneficial bacteria completely unharmed. Xcelsio has a live cocktail of bacteriophages to control various strains of pathogenic bacteria, i.e., E. coli, C. perfringens, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus Aureus, that affect Indian poultry. Xcelsio, which replaces eXolution in the Indian market, comes in a new formulation that contains more strains of bacteriophages than before and is fortified with more Bacillus subtilis that helps achieve Gut Microbiota Equilibrium. 

The highlight of the launch events was the keynote address by Dr Jayaraman Krishnarajan, a leading poultry consultant, who spoke of the challenges of replacing antibiotics in the poultry industry and achieving optimal gut health and Gut Microbiota Equilibrium with Xcelsio. The event witnessed a substantial gathering of senior members of the industry, including veterinarians and nutritionists, who were present at the two launch events.
