Welcome and Introduction
The event began with a warm welcome by Ms. Aboli Pandharkar, Technical Coordinator. Dr. C S Saraf, Director of Sales and Technical, honoured the esteemed guest speaker, Dr. N V Kurkure, a renowned professor of Veterinary Pathology and Director of Research at Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Science University (MAFSU). The Chief Guest and Chairman of NOBLE VETSCIENCE, Dr. S V Vaidya, was also felicitated by Mr. Rohan Sovani, Director of Operations.
About NOBLE
The event commenced with a comprehensive presentation by Dr. S V Vaidya, outlining the journey of NOBLE VETSCIENCE. He highlighted the uniqueness and advantages of NOBLE’s phytogenic formulations in supporting various body systems of chickens and domestic animals. Dr. Vaidya explained that NOBLE develops its phytogenic supplements and evaluates them at its own R&D farm, as well as in collaboration with universities and private institutes, before launching the final product. He also emphasized how, in just six years, NOBLE’s products have benefited farmers Pan India and in nine other countries.
Technical Insights
The technical session commenced with an insightful presentation by the honourable guest speaker, Dr. N V Kurkure, on the topic of “The Current Scenario of Immunosuppressive Diseases in Poultry.” He began by discussing the avian immune system and briefly explained how immunosuppressed birds are more susceptible to various diseases. Dr. Kurkure provided an in-depth overview of the current state of immunosuppressive diseases in poultry in India, highlighting the significant financial losses they cause. His presentation focused on key diseases such as Chicken Infectious Anemia (CIA), Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD), Marek’s Disease (MD), Avian Leukosis (AL), and Avian Reovirus (ARV). He thoroughly covered infectious and non-infectious immunosuppressive agents, disease transmission, pathogenesis, and diagnosis.
Dr. Kurkure emphasized the importance of building strong immunity in birds to prevent diseases and reduce economic losses. The presentation was well appreciated by the farmers for its clear and accessible language.
Following Dr. Kurkure’s presentation, Dr. Jyoti, Business Head of NOBLE VETSCIENCE, addressed prevention and control by providing an overview of immunonutrients that can be administered both in-feed and in-water. She highlighted key immunomodulators, including ImmunoWall and ANTIV, which are part of the NOBLE product basket.
Dr. Jyoti emphasized the differences between ethanol yeast-based ImmunoWall and traditional Bakers and Brewer’s yeasts, particularly regarding the concentrations of β-glucan (1,3 and 1,6) and Mannan Oligosaccharides (MOS). She highlighted ImmunoWall’s unique features, including its thick and dense cell wall, low digestibility, favourable BG:MOS ratio, and the innovative BetaACTIVE technology, which ensures the effective presence of ImmunoWall in the gastrointestinal tract. Dr. Jyoti stated that ImmunoWall is highly effective due to its stability in high temperatures and low pH, making it a cost-effective solution for poultry health.
Dr. Jyoti recommended ImmunoWall in feed to enhance immunity and prevent diseases, while ANTIV is advised for controlling disease outbreaks. ANTIV contains alkaloids of Aegle marmelos, Ginkgo biloba, Allium sativum and Curcuma longa that stimulate the bird’s defense system to produce more ‘B’ & ‘T’ cells. ANTIV enables bird to fight diseases more effectively, ensuring a rapid recovery.
Following the seminar, a question-and-answer session allowed participants to engage with the speakers. Notably, Advocate Mr. Sachin Tambe, a well-known layer farmer from Pune, provided positive feedback on ImmunoWall.
Dr. C S Saraf summarized the event, expressing appreciation for the strong attendance despite participants’ busy schedules. The key takeaway from the seminar was the importance of strengthening the immune systems of poultry to safeguard against immunosuppressive diseases.
At the conclusion of the Seminar – ‘Immunonutrition’, Mr. Rohan Sovani, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, recognizing the contributions of speakers, organizers, and attendees who made the seminar a memorable and impactful event.
