Trends, Challenges, and Possible Solutions with Central Haryana Layer Farmer Association:
De Heus India, a subsidiary of Royal De Heus Group and one of the world’s leading animal nutrition companies, hosted a seminar with the Central Haryana Layer Farmer Association on Thursday, 27th February 2025, which was focused on addressing the importance of nutrition in layer farming, evolving industry trends, major challenges faced by the layer farmers, and innovative solutions offered by De Heus. They emphasised the importance of nutrition during the rearing phase to build the foundation for the production cycle and how the rearing phase is influenced by the development during the rearing phase. De Heus discussed their unique concept of Layer Rearing, which is a multi-phase approach that focuses on the body weight and uniformity of flocks and results in better-performing hens compared to the most common two-phase approach, which focuses only on the body weight.

The gathering brought together De Heus India’s team, led by Mr. Amit Mittan and other team members, Mr. Parveen Kumar, Mr. Narender Malik, Mr. Parveen Paliwal, Ms. Rani Hooda along with the prominent layer farmers from across Central Haryana, creating a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration. Mr. Parveen Kumar shared his insights on optimising layer productivity through advanced nutritional approaches tailored specifically for the regional conditions and challenges and highlighted De Heus’ research-backed nutritional solutions designed to enhance egg production quality and quantity while maintaining optimal bird health.
The Central Haryana Layer Farmer Association expressed appreciation for De Heus India’s initiative in organising this knowledge-sharing platform and shared their on-ground experiences and received personalised recommendations for their operations.
