All India Distillers Association conducted four Seminars to promote DDGS in animal feeds at Bangalore, Namakkal, Palampur and Vadodara in collaboration with CLFMA of India, GEMA and Novonesis. Veterinary College, Bangalore helped to organize the seminar and local partners were Karnataka Poultry Farmers and Breeders Association (KPFBA) and Institution of Veterinarians in Private Industry (IVPI). Main speakers were Dr. NKS Gowda, Dean, Veterinary College; Mr. Naveen, President, KPFBA; Dr Harsha Kumar Shetty, President, IVPI; Dr. Nataraja, Nutritionist and Dr. Dinesh Bhosale. Mr. Sunil Duggal talked about why AIDA is conducting DDGS Yatra. DDGS availability and quality was discussed in detail. More than 200 delegates from various sectors attended it. Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal helped to organize a seminar at Namakkal and local partners were Tamil Nadu Poultry Farmers Association and Dairy Connect Forum. Main speakers were Dr. D. Chandrasekaran, Dr. Vasanthkumar, Mr. Singaraj and Dr. Dinesh Bhosale. Namakkal produces around eight crores eggs per day and many layer farmers are already using DDGS upto 5% in their feeds. Around 450 participants including 200 students attended it. USGC and AIDA organized a seminar at Vadodara for 50 participants and how to use DDGS in animal feeds was discussed. Main speakers were Amit Sachdev, Dr. Wadhwani, Dr. Lunagariya and Dr. Uday Patel. Veterinary College, Palampur helped to organize a seminar at Palampur and local partners were Animal Nutrition Society of India. Main speakers were Mr. Naveen, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, HPAU; Dr. Katoch, Professor, Animal Nutrition; Dr. Madhu; Dr. Arun Sharma and Dr. Dinesh Bhosale. Around 150 participants including women dairy farmers, students and industry representatives attended it. DDGS use in animal feeds was the main topic.
