EW Nutrition Organizes Technical Seminar at Karnal, Highlighting Advances in Mycotoxin Management and Water Acidification

EW Nutrition successfully hosted a Technical Seminar at the iconic Noor Mahal Palace Hotel, Karnal, bringing together veterinarians, poultry consultants, and industry professionals for an engaging knowledge-sharing platform focused on key aspects of poultry health and performance.

The seminar commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Rohit Bhatia, Director – Strategic Marketing (South Asia), EW Nutrition, who highlighted the company’s commitment to supporting the poultry industry through science-driven solutions and technical excellence. This was followed by a corporate presentation by Mr. Karthik Palvai, Deputy General Manager – Market Service & Feed Mill Business (South Asia), EW Nutrition, providing insights into the company’s global capabilities, product portfolio, and customer-centric approach.

The seminar addressed two critical areas of modern poultry production: mycotoxin risk management and water hygiene through acidification, with expert-led sessions combining global research insights and field-level applications.

Technical Sessions

The first technical session was delivered online by Ms. Marie Gallissot, Global Manager – Feed Quality Solutions, EW Nutrition, on ‘Mycotoxin Mitigation Strategies for Improved Breeder Health and Performance’

She shared valuable insights on:

  • The impact of mycotoxins on breeder productivity and health
  • Challenges posed by multi-mycotoxin contamination
  • Scientifically validated mitigation strategies
  • EW Nutrition’s research-driven approach to mycotoxin risk management

Her presentation emphasized proactive control measures and nutritional interventions essential for sustaining breeder performance under varying production conditions.

The second session was conducted by Dr. Ruturaj Patil, Regional Technical Manager – South Asia, EW Nutrition, on ‘Clean Water, Healthy Birds: The Role of Acidification in Modern Poultry Farms’

He highlighted the importance of water quality as a cornerstone of poultry health, discussing:

  • The role of water acidification in improving gut health and biosecurity
  • Practical guidelines for maintaining optimal drinking water quality
  • Different types of acidifiers and their functional benefits in poultry systems

A major highlight of this session was the launch of EW Nutrition’s new water acidification solution, Acidomix W+.
Dr. Patil explained its advanced formulation, mode of action, and practical application, demonstrating how Acidomix W+ supports consistent water hygiene and overall flock performance.

Recognizing Excellence in the Poultry Sector

  • Dr. N. K. Mahajan, a respected senior veterinarian, presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Jagjit Singh in recognition of his outstanding service and lifelong commitment to veterinary science and poultry development.
  • Young Entrepreneur Awards were presented to Mr. Vaibhav Aghi (Easy Feeds) and Mr. Amit Kharb (JK Feeds) by Dr. Vaibhav and Ms. Ananya from EW Nutrition, recognizing the awardees’ leadership and innovative approach in the poultry sector.
