Stallen Hosts a Successful Technical Symposium 2024 in the Picturesque Bali

Stallen recently held its much-anticipated Technical Symposium 2024 from September 24-27, 2024, in the scenic “Land of the Gods” — Bali. The event brought together 55 leading consultants and veterinarians from India’s animal health industry, fostering a collaborative platform to discuss the latest advancements and challenges in veterinary science.

The symposium commenced with a welcome reception at a beach club, where attendees were treated to local fire dances and cultural performances, offering a vibrant preview of the exciting sessions ahead.

The event opened with an insightful session by Professor Camarda from the University of Bari, Italy, who presented on the “Prevalence & Damages due to Salmonella in Poultry: Constant Challenges and New Insights to Food Safety.” Following this, Dr. Paulo Bravacinni of FATRO introduced a groundbreaking innovation: SGP695AV—the world’s first and only live Salmonella vaccine administered through drinking water. This revolutionary approach promises to reshape Salmonella control in the Indian poultry market.

In the afternoon, Professor Camarda returned to address the ongoing issue of Mycoplasma in Poultry. The session explored FATRO’s solutions for Mycoplasma control, featuring their innovative MYC Vac and MS Vac vaccines.

The evening provided an opportunity for participants to explore Bali’s rich culture, highlighted by the exotic Kechak dance, which celebrates Indonesia’s unique blend of Hindu heritage.

Day two began with a session by Dr. Ladislav Urban, CEO of Biopharm, Czech Republic, on “Coccidiosis in Poultry: A Review on Diagnosis, Control, and Interaction with Gut Health.” The session concluded with the re-launch of Livacox Q, a live attenuated vaccine against coccidiosis, in the Indian market through Stallen. This vaccine generated great interest, with participants recognizing its advantages over traditional feed additives.

The afternoon session shifted focus to Stallen’s own journey of innovation and growth over the last 26 years. Mr. Aniket Parikh led a compelling presentation, followed by Dr. Sanjay Singhal, Chief Operating Officer, who unveiled two new feed supplements: Pepigro, an antimicrobial feed supplement, and Phytogic, a phytogenic supplement. Both products aim to enhance profitability and sustainability in poultry production.

As part of the event, Stallen also inaugurated its new identity, marking a bold step forward as the company commits to a biotechnology-driven future.

Closing & Gratitude:

The symposium concluded with a vote of thanks to all participants, as well as a memento presentation to the speakers. The farewell party at Finns Beach Club wrapped up the event, with an evening of music and dance under the stars. Stallen extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participants for making the event a resounding success. We look forward to many more such opportunities to foster growth and innovation in the animal health industry.
